You know, someone was recently asking about trying to get a hospital district started for our area. If this happened in Wrightwood or Phelan, the time to get to an ER would have been too long...

I read this article in the Daily Press yesterday.  This man was very fortunate that he lives so close to emergency help.  This story is a good reminder to always look before you reach for things.

I do recall that a person was airlifted to Loma Linda from here after a bite. And, I did compare distance/time to Bear Valley, St. Mary's and Loma Linda. It's about the same and, depending on the time of day, LL can be just as fast. I am not impressed with Bear Valley or St. Mary's. Just my opinion based on multiple experiences in their ERs.
