Celebrate Apache Moon's 20th Birthday Apache Moon is 19 years old, he will be 20 on April 23rd! 20 years old for a wolf is very rare. See his info:
http://www.wolfmountain.com/apache.htmApache is the Ambassador for WMS and is retired. He spends his days laying on the grass and sleeping. He jumps up when something is going on though and patrols to make sure all are okay.
A few weeks ago he was sleeping all day and there was a film crew at WMS doing a documentary and he saw their bag, well he had to initiate it and peed all over it. LOL
Apache has the run of the sanctuary during the day and hangs out with the cats sleeping on the grass. Children are allowed to visit with Apache.
Apache spent most of his life going with Tonya to schools and shows to educate people on wolves. He still wants to go to shows, but we do not take him much as we fear it will be too much for him in his senior years. Tonya cuts his food into small pieces as he cannot chew big pieces of meat any longer. Everyone who crosses his path LOVES Apache.
Wolf Mountain Sanctuary will be having a big party for Apache on April 23, 2006. There will be a canine cake for Apache and a people cake for the visitors. If you are in the Southern California area, please plan to come up and share in our celebration. (if you visit, please bring water or drinks for your party, as there will be none provided)
There will be original 8x10's of Apache for $10 and Wolf Bottle Pendants with Apache's hair in them for $25 -
