Fire Captain Bret Henry wanted me to pass along this incredible story after considering everything that happened last week...

Wrightwood Fire Station just had a walk-in report of a pumpkin with a candle in it in the brush on Highway 2 by the levels.

They immediately responded and found a pumpkin, near the guard rail, across from the area known as the levels. If the pumpkin had rolled down the embankment it would have ended up in extremely dense vegetation

Captain Henry went on to say that they got it but it was a significant hazard to the community. Very heads up by the person that reported it!

If this was set out as a memorial for those that died in a Halloween accident a number of years ago, it's a nice thought to remember them, but please don't use a burning candle.

Just got a call from some friends that were returning from visting in Acorn Canyon visiting as they witnessed a huge pyrotechnics fire works in the area. They went directly to the fire station and reported it. Station 101 is investigating.

How stupid can people be!!!!!!!!!!

It sounded like someone fire a shotgun from where we were. I hope they can catch these nut balls.

The eyewitnesses did say a big explosion went with the aerial display.
