Due to issues with Intermod* the Keller Peak repeater will switch their pairs either May 12 or May 19. What that means is that they will switch the send and receive frequencies, in a test to see if they can resolve the Intermod issue.
If the test goes well they will then file to make the frequency switch permanent.
The higher the receiving stations elevation the worse it gets as they feel it's primarily caused by the 435 MHz group and a hospital talk group.
*Intermod is actually short for Inter-modulation, and is a general term that is used (in the ham radio world) as a form/cause of interference, most common with VHF/UHF devices.
What's this all mean in simple terms?
If you currently have a radio programmed for Keller Peak 2 meter repeater and it works now: Starting May 12 or May 19 you probably will need to reverse the send and receive frequencies or you won't be able to hear or transit using that repeater.
(Many radios include a Rev [reverse] button that allows you to quickly switch transmit and receive frequencies)
