There is a new repeater group in town! Yes, and it's called the Mojave Desert Repeater Group (MDRG). We are open repeater group with repeaters that are low level but have great coverage in the High Desert and Inland Empire. The MDRG website is currently being constructed at www.mojavedesertrepeatergroup.org. Check it out!!

I overheard you talkin about it the other day. Is it primarily 440? How many repeaters are there?

What's the freq of these new repeaters?

here's my latest project.  I'm going to use it to chase the riff raff off my mountain.

The radio on the right is an older UHF Kenwood TK830. We have the PA speaker connected to this unit.

The radio on the right is Kenwood's new NX-800 digital UHF radio.  It's primarily in the rig because it's new & cool, it's also programmed into the 480 band so we can listen to the local Sheriffs, and still use the UHF commercial and ham bands.

I have a TK730G that will be installed to handle VHF.  I'm still looking for a light bar.

We have 3 UHF repeaters and 1 2 meter repeater which is still being built.
System-1 445.680 - PL: 100.0 Adelanto KR1IS/R
System-2 445.620 - PL: 141.3 Apple Valley KN3ICK/R
System-3 445.060 - PL: 162.2 Riverside KB6OZX/R**
System-4 146.025 + PL: 91.5 Adelanto KI6IES/R*

* KI6IES/R will most likely move to a new frequency very soon due to interference from a user of the K6SOA repeater and club.
** KB6OZX/R is not a part of our repeater network just a friend that wants to link in to us. Riverside is linked to the Adelanto Repeaters 24-7 as just a individual link.

The KN3ICK and KI6IES repeaters will most likely change call letters as soon as we get our vanity call sign for the repeater club. At the moment our club call is KJ6KTV..
