I got to watch Firefightersteve at work using his camera to create these visual jewels.  He uses simple materials to create something that most professional photographers couldn't capture.  Every time I see these closeups I will continue to be amazed at his innate talent.

Incredible photos of wildflowers!  How do you get such remarkable detail?

Thanks Wildman...

One advantage to simple equipment is that it forces me to improvise.

On the detail....
I use a tripod, slow shutter speeds, and maximum depth of field focus.

Focus is critical and for macro work I prefer using the LCD display.

My little camera shows green squares on the focus preview so I know what the camera has selected.  I bounce around on focus modes i.e. center spot, center average, or multi point.

Then I cross my fingers and take 100 pictures...

Elderberry blossoms!  The bushes look so healthy this year, don't they - can't wait for the berries!

Love these photos.

What i don't understand is why large photo credits go through the middle of some pictures. What's the point?

The point is (I'm assuming) that there is horrible people out there who may try to steal photos and claim them as there own.   >:(  Watermarks pretty much prevent that.

I am in quite a few photo forums and I have had a few shots stolen and use on other sites that is why the watermark is across them.  I typically don't use the big watermarks here as I trust most everyone but these were copied from my other group.

The photo still shows thru though :).....

Thanks,
Angelwolf/Danna
