Phelan charter bus crash leaves 12 injured

PHELAN >> At least 12 people were injured Wednesday night after a pick-up truck crashed into a charter bus, officials said.
San Bernardino County firefighters responded to reports of a traffic collision shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Highway 138, near Phelan Road.
Responding units found that a pick-up truck had crashed into a charter bus west of Oasis Road, said Fire Capt. Jeremy Kern.
Of the 12 people injured, six were non-critical patients and six people had minor injuries.
Kern said about 25 bus passengers are sheltering in place, awaiting transportation from the scene.
All westbound lanes of Highway 138 are blocked.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
