On Monday, February 1, 2016, at 11:09 pm, California Highway Patrol officers responded to a 911 call for a single vehicle roll over on State Highway 2 and Lone Pine Canyon Rd. in Wrightwood. Officers arrived on scene and found four occupants in the vehicle. Paramedics confirmed one person dead at the scene at 11:11 pm. The driver of the vehicle and two other passengers were flown by air ambulance to an area hospital. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
