Yeah - this didn't sound right.  When they announced they found them not far from the road, that was odd.  Then they said they were "holding one another"...no one holds one another for safety in July in Joshua Tree.  I considered maybe it was a lightning strike but I checked some weather stations and there was no rain in the area.  Sounded more like guns were involved.  Very sad.
