Growing up in Michigan, this is a yearly event on the great lakes, and usually more than one time per year, you would think they would get it by now, but I really don't think they ever will. My husbands saying for this is "first and last ice is the best ice." now say that in your best garbled tobacco filled comedy voice and there you have it.

Going back to my idea from a few weeks ago.

Maybe the AdCouncil should come up with something along the lines of Smokey Bear for the fools who play around iced over waters. 

I got IT!  FROSTY BEAR! 

A big white polar bear with a scuba mask on its head and he is saying....

"ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT ICY WATER DANGERS!"

I mean, how many people die in frozen waters per year as opposed to forest fires    Take a hike smokey bear!
