Where are you? You can still come up the 14 to the 138 east to my knowledge. The 138 east is closed after the 15, but I believe you can still take it from the 14 (Palmdale) to the 2... unless they've closed the 14 through Canyon Country, in which case never mind! Check before you leave.

From the north as Redneck girl (sp, sorry) says, you can make it.

You don't have to tell me twice, Surfer-Dude! Not even in boldface.  ;)

I work from home so I know it's easier for me than other people whose jobs require them to be on location. Still, if I were a boss and my people either couldn't make it down or couldn't make it back, I'd tell them to stay the heck home.

If Someone HAS to get to the airport, might try N4 to Old Fort Tejon to Mt Emma Rd to Angeles Forest into La Canada then back on the 210.  Probably the quickest

My husband is stuck on the 15 northbound, they are turning them around at Glen Helen and sending them back to Rancho.  They are doing the same at University on the NB 215, sending them back to SB..

He is going to go the 210-14-138 route...  It will take a LONG time...  but no other way home....

It is going to depend on what the fire does.  At this point I don't think there is anyway to tell.

I highly doubt it and would NOT go that route at this point in time.

Here's what I've been told:
The Cajon Fire is primarily burning on the East side of the I15 and headed towards the new housing development. It's not headed towards the Cajon Pass but rather away from it.
