Sounds like our two communities had a few close calls last night.  There was a fire at Cajon Blvd/Kenwood (again...) and a report of a fire along the freeway at Sierra.  I heard that the Little Mountain Fire that started all the way over at Shandin Hills in San Bernardino came all of the way through the wash to the I-15.

But good news -- my husband just drove up I-15 up to Kenwood and the freeway both directions is opened.  However, the I-215 is closed due to the fire behind North San Bernardino (University Ave. to Palm/Kendall).  He said that there are quite a few fire engines up in that area and a huge header of smoke.

There's quite a bit of smoke coming from the Lone Pine Canyon area.  Is this from the Lytle Creek fire or is it blowing this way from the Devore fire?

What fire are we getting all of the smoke from?  Is that from Grass Valley, Devore, Lytle Creek--all three?

I went to the top of Lone Pine and it looks like it is coming across from the Lake Arrowhead area.

We are getting smoke from the fires in the San Bernardino Mountains.
People in Apple Valley can see it blowing this direction. (per ham radio calls)

I went to helicopter hill and looked. It looks like it's blowing in from the San Bernardino Mountains.

It seems a bit windier up here today.  How much of a threat are the current fires to Wrightwood?  Not taking into account any new fires?

The wind has shifted and I can see a huge mass of smoke blowing towards Wrightwood, and heading into the high desert.....

How bad is the smoke right now in Wrightwood?
