One of my kids is in Phelan - she called very scared from looks of smoke and rumors in town about Lytle Creek fire.  Does WW have a fire concern, other than dealing with breathing smoke?

Thanks for creating a thread for those of us out of state at the time informed as to where the bad spots are.....You have no idea what it's like to be thousands of miles away and turning on a TV in a motel roomand seeing California fires on every channel.

   What a relief to know our little ville is escaping serious damages now.....It's unbelievable almost as they are now calling this the worst firestorm in history of Calif and the number of evacuees approaching one million. We must be protected by  old Indian Spirits or something.

http://www.fire.ca.gov/

Due to extremely high traffic volume, the CAL FIRE Incident Website is not functioning. This temporary page contains the latest information available.

15 Northbound at 3:30. I have dubbed it the "The Gauntlet";
I passed so many overturned big rigs I had to get out my calculator to keep track.

Where were all these overturned trucks? I came through at 3:45 and only counted three.Traffic was flowing faster than usual both this morning at 6:30 and again this afternoon.You really shouldn't post alarmist things like this, people are already worried enough.

I wish I was alarmist....when I traveled at 3:00 I saw a big rig's trailer start to float in front of me.  It was extremely windy.  I counted at least 5, some were just the trailers, on the 15 fwy and a few more on the 210.   More were off the road and one crumpled trailer,  I believe off Sierra.

Bobbie I heard that someone planted a pink flamingo in your yard, you better go check. ;D
