shootings on Hwy 2
« on: Jan 27, 08, 06:52:55 PM »
I was just talking to someone down in the Phelan area, and they heard that someone was shooting at the cars out on
Hwy 2.  I have been hearing lots of sirens in the last hour or so. but thought it was for ski injuries.  Has anyone heard anything about this? :o

Thanks, wasn't sure if anyone had heard anything, I will check there.   I was supposed to go off the mountain tonight and my friends said they would just as soon as I didn't.  It is a good night to be inside.   :)

The shooting was on Lone Pine Canyon and I never heard any indication on CHP radio traffic that the shooting was at vehicles. CHP did locate the vehicle and 2 weapons and were waiting for the Sheriff to respond the last I heard.

Shots on LPC

Apparently there was some gang activity on LPC and a young local girl felt threatened enough to call the police before the shots.  I ma glad to hear no reported injuries.

When our population quadruples, do they think we could get a bit more law enforcement up here?

CHP at Lone Pine mentioned to me it was target shooting going on.....huh..????????

I agree we need law enforcement up here.  The activity I saw yesterday at my house was unbelievable.  The flat landers are driving way too fast...bumper to bumper skiding out in the ice and having not a clue that they are being stupid...My favorite is when they drive by with their car windows down and their children are hanging out the windows yelling like a bunch of monkeys!

How about the snowplayers on Lone Pine...parked all over the side of the narrow top...good choice...CHP should be here tell them to go bye-bye...it's just to dangerous around her lately..

If enough of us would take the time to call Victorville CHP regarding traffic issues here...we will get more help!

Or better yet, come to tomorrow night's MAC meeting at 7pm at the Community Center and voice your opinion on this and any other matter that affects our community. Many times Officer Perez from CHP is there to hear our concerns.

Batnett, couldn't agree more, it's high time we as law abiding residents take a stand for our town. C'mon, were watching the community suffer at the hands of a bunch of banger type visitors and now they're beginning to live here. Word's out that there is little enforcement in WW and who's gonna' stop 'em? With property values like they are, we will see this get much worse if permanent law and order is not established here very soon. I've lived here since the early 90's and see the slippery slope we're on. For the first time since, we've considered moving from here because of lack of respect and security for family, property and peace. We need a community MAC attack.
