My mother's entire life (she's been coming to Wrightwood since the late 30s), and my entire life, we'd pass those ruins and wonder what they were. It wasn't until the Los Angeles Times did an article on them a few years ago that I realized it was a "failed Utopia" colony. While the Times article was very good, your writing provides much more details.
