Is this the fire you can see from Phelan or is it a different fire?

Does that mean the Clyde Ranch area?

How close is it to WW?

My sister in law is south of the scales on the 15 north, and she can see flames from the freeway. They are up in the canyons, and she said the wind is blowing east away from Wrightwood. People are stopping on the freeway to take photos.

I was napping and my friend called from San Bernardino and said she can see a huge plume of smoke and she wanted to know if we were okay.  Thank goodness for the forum so we could find out what is going on!!

Pretty good view from the web cam located in the Devore area: http://video.dot.ca.gov/asx/d8-15-at-Sierra.asx

Those of you familiar with the Caltrans web cam site, the web cam looking north from the I-15/215 split Ave also has a good shot. Here's another link: http://www.trafficland.com/city/ONT/index.html
