Has anybody else seen the movie "Drowning on Dry Land"? It is not a very good movie but one of the scenes is filmed at the Arco. If you look, you can see Hwy 2, the VideoZone and the WWminimart sign. Oh and the plates are out of state. Another little nit pick is the cups they drink out of are not from the minimart. Are they so cheep they cant even get that right?

I got a copy of "The Day the World Ended" -- and although I've only glanced at it while it was playing, I did see some of Wrightwood in the background. It's a pretty bad movie, though -- well, I guess it's what you'd expect for a B movie.

I had heard that one of Spielberg's first films was filmed around the Cajon area. The film was called "DUEL" and featured Dennis Weaver. I saw this movie years ago...Anyone else?

Duel was creepy!!! Made you look twice at a big rig in your rear view mirror after watching it.

I want to know why he just didn't make a quick U-Turn and out race it??

He played Chester Goode, Matt Dillon's sidekick. I think Festus Haggen was Marshal Dillon's next sidekick. Did you know that Burt Reynolds was also in some of the earlier espisodes? And this was when Burt Reynolds looked good.

Does anybody know the name of the movie this film crew was working on? Is it available on Netflix? I was living at the top of Apple St. when this was being filmed and I've always wondered about it.

I just got finished watching "The Day the World Ended." Simply HAD to see it (Netflix)! Silly movie, but still pretty cool to see the street signs, the post office, Mile High Pizza, Apple St., among other familiar sites!
