If you drive up by Jackson "LAKE"! Between there and Mile High is where I see them most often.
The wild life is the best thing about these mountains.

Enjoying all the pet pics!  But I must say, I am partial to the lab pics... (I am a volunteer for Southern California Labrador Retriver rescue).  One of these days I'll try and get some pics of my gang here.  There is always a foster dog or two here on their temp stop to their "forever home."

And then there is my lab/beagle/blue tick hound mix....she was a little puppy that used to follow me home when I went jogging.  I begged her owner to let me have her.  She is a perfect example of "careful what you pray for, you just might get it!"  ;D

Symeron - Siberian Husky - 4 years - Rescued

Teddy - Siberian Husky - 9 years - He came in to reacue about two month ago with a benign tumor under his tail. It was caused because he was 9 years old and he was an intact male. the tumor was the size of a baseball and our vet said because of its size it had been there about two years. This would have never happened if he was neutered. He was all matted and he got shaved it was the only thing we could do... Siberians shouldn't be shaved unless it is really matted. 2 month and a $1,200 later he was fixed and is neutered...

Hey 'gypsywolf', you have some really beautiful dogs, Fancy is sooo beautiful! And I also wanted to say thanks for posting a 'few' pics...you make me feel like you love your animals, like I love my 7 (well posted) cats.

Angelwolf, your dogs/wolves are absolutely gorgeous too!

I love Wrightwood and it's animal loving residents!

We have no kids..our pets ARE our kids.  I got Fancy from the animal shelter in Apple Valley. I have no idea how she got there. She is a wonderful, sweet dog. Mr D was a stray running down Main St. in Hesperia 8 years ago. My hubby blocked traffic to get him in the truck and no one claimed him when we posted the "found" ad. My little Stinky Minx kitty came from the same shelter.

KWboy......
Instead of being on the forum all these hours you should be out there working to help pay the pet food bills.  They have to be big.

its not that much let me think it cost
$130 for dog food
$70 for rabbit food
$40 for cat food and litter
$16 for fish food
$30 for frogs
$20 for iguana
We just paied 1,000 for a rescue dog
and we put out probably $800 a month on rescue gas, vet bills, shots etc

a month we probably spend 1,500 to 2,000
moms got a new truck and im probably going to get a newer used truck when we move and my mom wants to buy a new car too.

No i dont have to work
 ::)

ya can have all that when you are buying a house for 250,000 and your house that your going to sell is worth 560,000 to 580,000

and no im not bragging but when we move im going to work whats the point now when i just turned 16 and were moving in 2 months or less? and i leave me signed here and i leave my computer on 24/7 but im eather doing school online, watching tv, sleeping, or doing something
