All the new critter posts look just great. What beautiful furry friends you all have!

I love Biscuit! Standard Poodles are great dogs. Biscuit barks hello at Mr D and I when we walk by. He (?) is a beautiful dog:-)

Standard poodles were bred as water retrievers. The froo-froo hair over the joints and head is to keep them warm. The short hair is to help them swim through water.
No one has convinced my dog of this yet. He hates swimming. (but he will retrieve)
The big size is the original size. In Europe, they are considered a working breed. They were bred down in size after that.
The breed standard is for a calm, intelligent dog. Will someone please tell that to Biscuits?

Bud changed my life. I got him from an animal rescue place in Lucerne Valley. He was still doped up from his neutering. At first he would lay on the passenger side of the seat. About half way home he came over and layed his chin on my leg and stayed that way the rest of the way home.

I finally got him a playmate, Sweety ( both of them fixed), and they both are jealouse of each other.

I have had so much fun looking at all of your pet photos! Wow, how great! I just had to let you know about this. I'm not sure if this link will work but it's a company easily found online. I would love to, and not be surprised to, see many of these photos selected to be in this book...
