I've been known to post from a phone even from home.   Lot's of times, I have to line up for the computer and I don't have to line up for my phone.    But I see your point.    It's like not mentioning in facebook that you are about to go on vacation.

As I was filling up at the gas station today, sinking into depression, I had a brain storm. Somewhere back in this thread I suggested cutting out those silly musical whatevers that come in gift cards and go off when you open them up. My son did that to his bedroom door. You can  attach one to your door .. but here's the brainstorm part: attach it on the inside of the door/flap on your car where your gas cap is. Course, people at the gas station may think you're nuts. But, I just have this vision in my mind of one of those slimeballs trying to rip off some gas and being surprised by "Happy Birthday" or somesuch at 3am.

Just that it advertises that you're not home (or home). As Stitches says, sometimes people post from they're phones when they are home, but if you're worried about someone stalking you it's still potential information I'd rather not share.  And I don't see what purpose that info would serve for regular readers of a message board...why have the icon there at all?

Yes. IF you enter my home.  Never outside. Never. He's gotta come in first. I know the law and reason for it. Outside in front yard or at front door is acceptable. Come inside from my back door uninvited...a whole different story.

He got in by opening back door which being it was 1100 am it was unlocked. The two other attempts were at night when door was locked and he couldn't get in. A few nights later the neighbor who the guy passes to get to my house heard someone and when she opened the door his screwdriver was left behind at her front door.  So I imagine he's finding other ways to open doors if they are locked. As far as an earlier comment posted from another...) Yes, I can be sued because we live in a sue happy society...- know this. And if its my daughters life or mine vs. Lawsuit....1hich do you think I'm gonna choose? (Sorry to add that to this post as separate conversation.) But a loser will find a way to mess with the unprotected and weak before someone prepared to go unharmed. So again, having to make my point with some...choose your own way to protect yourself, mine is within the law.

Wrong2messwith - Please don't change your name, it's awsome.  I, too, am heavily armed and would not hesitate using whatever force necessary to keep some dirt bag out of my home.  Some people say "Wrightwood has no gang issues", but as we know, we are just a short hop from Adelanto (Adagetto) and Victorville (Victomville) by car.  God help the S.O.B. that attempts entry when I am home.

I am all for the 2nd amendment, but it's gut wrenching when I read stories like what happened to poor Trayvon in Florida.

Pacfan- it is sickening. That poor kid deserves justice. He didn't have a chance and the sicko is still free. What a coward that creep is and I'm pretty certain he will get his one way or another. We can only hope.

Though an expense, is it possible for you to get cameras to get a picture/film of this guy in action so the sheriff will take you seriously?

So do I understand correctly that he tried to get into a neighbor's house where he left a screwdriver?

Have you talked to all of your neighbors so they can keep an eye out?
