Today, yes it's definately Wednesday today.

Chilly weather + warm meal - check
Call friend to remind them of luncheon - check
Make sure everyone has a ride to the Methodist church - check
Meet the great kids from Wrightwood Elementary who are helping out - check
Take a moment to say hello to someone new - check
Enjoy the company of nice folks and say 'thanks, see you next month' to all the great volunteers - check!

Don't forget to schedule the Gathering Friends over 55 luncheon on Wednesday, July 16 on your calendar. The menu includes a Taco salad and other things, yet to be determined that will complement the meal. There was a great turnout last month - thank you Red Hat Ladies of Wrightwood - and hopefully it'll be another large crowd this month. 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church off Elm and Barbara. $6 donation requested.

I agree with Joe and Nolena. The kids from the school acted like they really enjoyed what they were doing, and it's a real treat to see them. And I'm sure, a treat for them to get out of class for a couple hours.....
