Gap in Lone Pine Canyon
« on: Jul 27, 03, 05:23:48 PM »
Why is there a gap in Lone Pine Canyon, where you have to use Heath Creek/Thrush?  If I had to guess, I would say that it used to go over the creek, but got washed out in a flood and was never rebuilt.  If so, can/will/would/should it be rebuilt?

Enquiring minds on Thrush want to know!   :)

I believe that Lone Pine Canyon Road washed out in the mudslide of 1969. I remember the road being open to thru traffic before that, but not since.

Aren't there a couple of houses buried under there somewhere, too?
