Wildfire burning in steep terrain with heavy timber. Evacuations have been ordered for Mojave Scenic and East Canyon Drives south from Lone Pine Canyon Road to Buckthorn, Slippery Elm and Mt. Mahogany Roads. Please check with San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for additional information regarding evacuations (760) 956-5001.
A Red Cross evacuation center has been set up at Serrano High School, 9292 Sheep Creek Road in Phelan.

A major portion of the fire has been lined, with the exception of Division Z. Division Z is steep and inaccessible. Water drops from rotary wing aircraft is somewhat successful. CHP and San Bernardino Sheriff to prepare a re-entry plan for evacuated areas by noon on 08/11/2013.
