Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 138

Date/Time: September 29, 2014  8:51am

Location: On Highway 138 1/2 mile west of Interstate 15
Incident: Traffic collision with injuries

Summary:  At 8:51am, San Bernardino County Fire units were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Highway 138 approximately 1/2 mile west of Interstate 15.  The first arriving fire unit reported two cars involved in a head on traffic collision with four victims needing medical care.

The accident involved an SUV and a pickup truck that hit head-on at an unknown speed.  One critical patient was flown to a local trauma center by Air Rescue 307 and the other three patients were transported by ambulance to the same hospital.

Four engines, three ambulances, Air Rescue 307 and a battalion chief were assigned to the incident.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department would like to remind you to buckle up for safety.  A seat belt could save your life!  Make sure that everyone in the vehicle is restrained.
