I spent time looking on YouTube for a copy but couldn't find that episode.
Hadn't seen a copy for $8 - In the name of local history I went ahead and bought a copy to see what's included.

Ok Wrightwood history buffs - Is this any if the local ski lifts in this movie or is it Kratka Ridge?

I have believe it is around the Kratka Ridge/ Islip Saddle area.  The single chairlift is still standing but the drive house on the bottom burnt down many years ago.  In one shot Hwy 39 is clearly visible in the background.   I have done some hiking around there and recognize some of the mountain views.

Yes, that is Highway 39 at the 9:12 mark of the film.

It also looks like you can see Catalina peaking above the clouds in the minute or two before 9:12.
