Highway 38 closed after 100 cars reported stuck in snow

BIG BEAR >> Highway 38 from Angeles Oaks to Hatchery Drive south of Big Bear was closed about 7:35 p.m. Saturday after reports of cars getting stuck in winter driving conditions, according to a Caltrans tweet.

The closure was reported 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a California Highway Patrol log entry that noted 100 cars and 3 tow trucks were stuck.

The CHP log listed an estimated closure time of 4 to 6 hours.
