Many may not know, but the Wrightwood Fire District fielded the first Paramedics literally five minutes after midnight on the day the law became effective in our County.  Time after time, we made a difference because of the skills and equipment that we had now license to use. 

This article is something that I believe our Department is looking at or is participating on trial basis.

Yup.  In my mind I posted it.  Actually, I did post it but with the image shortcut instead of hyperlink.  If an admin could look at my first post and change those....I think it was another article with similar results

One of the things we found was that we spent a lot of time with frequent fliers....those who abused the 911 system and those who really didn't to tie up an ambulance and ER.  This is one program that works provide timely and appropriate care while leaving units to deal with real emergencies.
