BRUSH FIRE | FS079 | Big Pines Hwy X Largo Vista Rd | This is the #LargoFire @Angeles_NF is in command with #LACoFD assisting. 7 acres with the Alpha flank stopped and the majority of the fire activity on the Zulu flank.

Thanks again John for having the most accurate info. Social Media is all over the place. I too was listening to my USFS radio. Interesting that Helo were giving coordinates of very small spot fires for future attention. I've never heard that before.

3 of us USFS Volunteers will be in Service tomorrow for just this type of issue. You wouldn't believe how many campers have fireworks with them.

LA County WT80 and CalFire have used 6000 gallons of water from Camp ELK so far and the fire units are also using the St. Andrews Abbey in Valyermo as a water source.

Your #ANF firefighters worked very hard through the night to contain 2 brush fires that started yesterday in the early evening hours near Largo Vista/Big Pines Hwy. This effort was assisted by @LACOFD @LACoFireAirOps @CALFIREBDU and @SBCOUNTYFIRE
