If you happen to live on Cardinal, I suppose you go into LA's statistics. If you live here but test frequently at work because you're employed at a nursing home or jail, which community do the count you in if you test positive? Keeping these stats must involve lots of imperfect decisions.

When info from consecutive days are shown, the "number tested" always seems to go up by about 1200. I wonder how much of this are the same people being tested, over and over, to prove that they're OK to go their jobs in nursing homes, law enforcement, etc. I'm starting to think that very few of the tests are ordinary folks getting one because they feel sick.

I met a local at the Post Office whose entire family has had Covid. The statistics do not tell it all.

I'm am curious, does anyone know why that would be? Can you get a test nowadays in your primary care's office? (and do they simply not report it to the county?) Or is local data just flat-out being ignored/falsified by the health dept.?

I wish we knew. There was a local recently who posted their positive results on FB. They were tested at Kaiser, and the data for Wrightwood cases never changed, so I thought maybe they live in LA County. But with Nolena's comment, now I'm not so sure. I wonder if some of our cases are being counted in LA because we are so near the county line?

Nolena, do you know the family well enough to find out where and when they were tested? I've met many people who say they think they had it but never got tested.

The SB County COVID-19 dashboard numbers have not been consistent. At one point Wrightwood showed 2 positives, days later it showed 1, now it shows 2 again. Plus the number sounds low based on comments.

SURE Wrightwood only has 2...
I know several who were assumed positive, but no testing was available for them.
No reliable numbers will be available until there is good, reliable, consistent testing.
