scwt - You have to look at the individual country to try and figure that out. I'll wait for the post-pandemic analysis. One thing to keep in mind is that a good many countries have more rapid transit than the U.S. Meanwhile, Wrightwood has a lower 7-day positive rate than does the county as a whole. 15.5% to 24.1%. Whereas, Phelan has a 27.2% rate and Pinon Hills 22.7%. Note to self: Shop at Jensen's in lieu of Stater's.

p.s. There is a fire in the pass. They closed Cajon Blvd from Kenwood to Cleghorn. It started about 40 minutes ago.

I have not shopped at Stater's in over a year, even pre-pandemic, for different reasons at that time. Jensen's has gotten all my grocery business. Occasionally, there might be an item that I want which Jensen's doesn't carry, but so far, I've had no need to venture off this hill for groceries.

Regarding air travel, an employee of my friend had her daughter visit from North Dakota over the holidays. She flew home last Wednesday, then found out that her brother tested positive and now she is positive, so she was flying while contagious and no one had a clue until she got home. The mom/employee tested negative at first, but now she has all the symptoms including loss of taste so is getting a second test. I'll stick to my personal car for now.

Hopefully everyone makes it through ok....but there you have it. Now, you can hold a religious belief that fart-filled plane cabins and terminals are A-OK places during a pandemic, but logic dictates that you're wrong. And your incorrect religious belief is costing people their lives, low and middle-wage jobs, damaging the strength and stability of the country...and on and on. That's a bad religion.

I have been buying most of my food from Amazon, Costco and Chewy for dog food, I will probably stop buying food from Amazon and mainly use Costco from here on out. Amazon was doing next day delivery for about a week to my house but now they are back to sending everything to the Post Office, Costco is slow but they use UPS so I get everything at my house. My brother picks up perishable items from Staters when I need them.

Just try to get through. The website won't connect, and when you try to call, after a lengthy hold, they give you the option of leaving a message, but the mailbox is full. Government at it's finest.

Booking in Hesperia is closer to dates than San Berdo. Health Center . Hesperia is open for appt's as of next Wed or THURS.

If you don't get the day you want ,back up to the front page and pick another day. Your info. will stay in and you will have to go to the resign and continue to new list of appt. times .

ALSO .. you do not have to fill the page where it asks for all the Insurance info. Just put Medicare in the top area and skip all the Insurance and card photos etc, The County fella said that is not necessary
