Possible smoke/fire near-ish to Wrightwood.

I'm currently in the desert, about 30-35 miles north of Wrightwood.  I can see a large smoke plume toward the east edge of the mountain range. From my vantage point, it looks about as far from town (ID'd by the big land slides) as Mountain High, but in the opposite direction.

See the post in road conditions today. It's a controlled burn in Lone Pine.

Is this a controlled burn that got out of hand or different from the controlled burn?

EQC - There is another thread here for the Knob Fire. I've asked if it's a controlled burn - per the CHP site - or what? Cheryl

That's a CHP Incident report - like I said "I'm not aware of any control burn today in this area" (The WFSC is suppose to be notified)

Your incident report mentions controlled burn on Lone Pine Wrightwood?

Gotcha.
Well!! This stinks....did someone's campfire escape? Given the location, it's got to be man (or electrical lines).

The CHP website is where I saw references to "controlled burn". Obviously, this one isn't.

But did it start as one? Who knows. ABC7 seems to think so
