I chatted with them before anyone showed up (trying to score some extra points
) and they were all very nice and talkative.
They chatted about their Pasadena Radio Club and how it was a real social group and that most members belonged to other radio clubs/groups. We also talked about the large increase in tests since the no code rules had changed.
It was only when the tests began that they were all business.
When the lady (Merrie?) gave me my documents to sign for the FCC and ARRL, she asked me if I wanted to join the NRA!(by accident).
I smiled and said no thank you, I haven't yet gone down that road, but I am an ARRL member. She smiled back and said she was a member of both.
I guess there is some synergy between the two groups, when you think about it...
