Hank passed his Technician Class and General Class in one sitting. First try on both tests.

Did Kris get her general, I hope so!  I'd hate to think she was outranked by him.

In May 2005, Margelli and partner Ken Miller, K6CTW, enjoyed their "15 minutes of Amateur Radio fame" with an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on NBC. Using Morse code, the two radio amateurs went head to head with US cell-phone text messaging champ Ben Cook and his partner to see which mode would get the message through in the shortest time. Margelli, Miller and Morse won hands down.

I wish make a public thank you to Miles Wagner for his guidance, motivation and help with our ham radio training class.

I am happy to report that the Big Pines Camp Association had 12 of 12 people pass the technician exam tonight. This group included an 11 year son of one of the camp directors.

I apologize for the wrong name. I seem to have a mental block at times with Josephs name.

There used to be a guy who worked there with Mitch named Jonathan and I often revert back and use to wrong name.
