It is now official. Got my license in the mail from the FCC. Now, I am going to apply for my vanity license. Thank you, Clint for all of your hard work, worrying (you were pacing outside for miles during the test) that you put into our learning. The effort payed big dividends.

Got my licence in the mail today as well!  I'm now official...???

I removed them from the list above. I assumed Bob knew who his fellow class members were.

What's up with that Bob?

KI6CXA AND CXB are not from our class.

Hey, I never said those two were in our class. I was only showing who A and B on the list were.

Now I need to hear some reccomendations for radios. I want to be able to communicate from the house, the motor home, and my house.

I know Clint really likes the tri-band radios with the optional SU-1 Barometric Sensor for direct air pressure readings and also the optional odometers for measuring the distance between mile-markers. ;)

Is that the one with the optional bighorn sheep locator?

Yeah, thats the one. Clint is still tweaking the design before he gets it on the market. It should be the Swiss Army Knife of radios. ;D

Yeah? Just remember you all still have radios to program, antennas to install and tune :eyebrows:
You better be nice to me at least a little while longer ;)

Are you planning on having another hands on class about using the radios, programming and such?

It might not hurt to have a combined one for both classes as a refresher.

That's a fine idea! Maybe Jim will buy a radio by then!

We'll give a week or two to get radios and get one scheduled. Maybe we can even install an antenna to show folks how that goes.

I was just planning on using my foil hat as an antenna.
Would that be a problem?  ???

Not a problem if you can tune it and make it resonant. :2thumbsup:
