A big WAD of HAM

All the FSC members and stakeholders should bring their HAM radios to Wildfire Awareness Day.

We'll be working Simplex at 147.57 with tone of 100.0

You will CTCSS encode and decode turned on.

Wow, a programming challenge.

(Hearing the Popeye laugh in the background.) Was running through a couple of old posts before dinner and found this one...

In all sincerity (honestly), for our air show events and any all day activity, I usually recommend folks bring along the manual for their HTs. Now that we've pretty much all surrendered regular radio use to the cell phone and on my block are pretty much over-40, as Martha would say, "it's a good thing" to bring the ol' manual.   :2thumbsup:

Ditto, the AA battery cassette if they have them. I know I don't keep my HT batteries charged up like I should anymore either and what looks like a full charge at the house goes away pretty fast when the batteries aren't kept up...
