That was interesting! I read the whole thing. I can only assume that the Old Spanish Road followed a Native American route through the pass.

Sounds a lot like the way politics work today.

Thanks "Wrightwood!"  The link provided the Toll Road information I've been seeking for some time.  The author gave me permission to use his chapter in issues of the "Wrightwood Roots."
