Firefightersteve....let's do a table top book entitled, "Freeway Flowers".  Drive around CA and take pictures of flowers along the roadway.

Along the same lines, there are several of you that could get together and put out a very good "Birds of Wrightwood and the High Desert" book.  :2cents:

Great stuff, Firefighter Steve!  Always wondered what Chia looked like.  Didn't they make pets out of it?

Beautiful shots!  These are from last year, right?  They don't bloom here till later in the summer.....  At least not where I've ever been.........

Hi forestgal.  These are from the intersection of sheep creek and lone pine canyon rd.  I've also seen a few plants at the bottom of lone pine canyon.

You mean this year, now?  I see them up in the forest, out of Grassy Hollow, much later in the spring/summer.  Love them, they are so cheerful!

BTW, I have one of your incredible daffodil pictures on my desktop right now, from over in Running Springs.  One of these years I'm going to have to get myself over there to see them firsthand.
