We have our usual crew of hummingbirds and Orioles enjoying the feeders and Penstimum flowers. Ours have wintered over (Anna's) every year and seem to really enjoy life here year round.

The first image I took of a Hummingbird at our house with my new camera. It was in the Winter and the Manzanita was blooming. The Anna's have wintered over every year including the amazing snow years.

I use my old Canon D30 that I got when I retired in 03. I use a Canon 100-400mm telephoto for 99% of my photographs. Makes sneaking up on things pretty easy from a hundred feet away. Biggest problem is seeing them in the first place.

I have one but never use it. The lens has a stabilizer built in for both jiggle and tracking moving objects.

Not sure they are supposed to. I have two Iphoto libraries with over 55,000 photos in each. Someday I'm going to learn how to categorize and cull the darn things. Takes forever to load the app.
