Yes the dates for the next CERT Training is October 7, 14, and 21 (9am - 4pm) In the Wrightwood Community Center - The training is FREE!

i went through CERT training with the LAFD in Studio City in January, and judging from the photos your training was better! it was great of them to actually show people how to turn off the gas rather than trying to describe it.

all in all, it was a great (and FREE) training, even though i hope we never need to use it.

I have a problem. I have a memorial for a very dear woman tomorrow. It was at 4pm and now it has been moved to 12:30pm....

I guess I have to do the next one, unless I can make up just the first day?

Can anyone tell me if I can do this? Complete days 2 and 3 and do the first day over?

Yes you can make up a day in the next round.

Get the training days in while you can as you never know when it will be needed. I know of a person that went through the first round of training and used his experiences in a serious rollover car accident he came upon.

The first class went well and they handled the classroom disasters - lack of sound on the presentation tape and an instructor with car problems. They went over a lot of good information. Anglewofl, you'll get the hands-on training, so make sure to show up for the remaining classes! It looks like it will be a good class.

One thing for sure, we will need more CERT trained people in Wrightwood so that we'll be prepared to handle whatever disaster falls upon us. I hope to see many more people participate in the training in the future.

I was disappointed by the lack of forum members that attended.

There is a lot of good informations to be learned. Things we all should know, even if the "Big One" doesn't happen in our lifetime.
