The Day Fire is up in Castaic.

The wind pattern is blowing this direction from the Day Fire. It was discussed on last nights news broadcasts.

There are no local fires that I'm aware of.

The smell of smoke up here on Desert View Lane was very strong this morning too.

Its interesting how thunderstorms can do strange things.  I remember about 5 years ago when there was a fire in Banning and we also had thunderstorms.  The storm lifted up up the ash high in the sky and dropped it on Wrightwood.

When I smelled it I just thought someone was burning newspapers in their fireplace on this side of town which  happens everyonce and a while.

It's probably just someone having a fire in their fireplace. Lots of houses in town starting to have a fire to take the chill off at night.  I've had one probably every other night or morning for the past week or so.
