because my stuff isn't as good as wildman's, i thought i would start this area for those of us witn "box cameras" to share our stuff.

here's the first one; this is the part of the big island coast the lava is flowing to.  the dark blue cloud, top center, is the lava condensation we could only get to about two miles of the actual flow.

Wow-singing pilots!  I wonder if that what Peter, Paul and Mary were referring to?

Great shots.  The lava cliffs with the ocean crashing into them is spectacular.  Did you ever see the "green flash"?

Did you try any underwater photography while you were there?

Isn't Hanalei Bay also a surfing spot with the waves breaking next to the point off to the right?  I remember seeing surfing movies with perfect waves at a place named like that.

Nice shots of Hawaii!

mensajanitor-you had to be close to that elk!! What a creature.

Goatgirl, you photos are great.  The river picture has such energy coming over the falls.

What a great thread you started.

Mr. Janitor,
Since you like light houses, I spent a day on the bluffs of Palos Verdes shooting this light house. Catalina is in the back ground. It's not great but I thought the sun spiltting the light house in two was kinda neat.

Nice pic Toolman! That is the Point Vicente Lighthouse that is in my old stomping ground. I am also a big fan of lighthouses.

We used to use the lighthouse as a navigational reference when we had a sailboat.  Never seen it from shore.  Very nice

Mr. Janitor.....nah I don't mind you printing it. It's much smaller than the original. I reduce all my pics before submitting them to Photobucket.

Cardinal....since you recognize the Light house you'll surely remember this too. It's 6:30am after sunrise, coffe shop isn't even open yet, and there's allways people on this pier. The marine school is still held inside.

And for those familiar with the area, you'll remember the Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro.
