Thanks Whatever, I love dead trees and agree with you about their great addition to photos.....

I wish there would have been some sun but the clouds provided a dramatic backdroup....

Have a great day!

nice Grand Canyon photos, AW. Karma to you for getting close to the edge, I am afraid of heights... and can't get very close! gives me the heebie-jeebies to look at photos of heights.!

I sat on the edge, feet dangling,  it was cool to feel how big the canyon actually is......

At one point my hair stood up as I was near the rail so I thought I better move.  We read later in the brochure that if your hair stands up to move from the edge quickly as you are in an electric field and may be a target for lighting.  There was no sun and tons of clouds with lightning so I hightailed it outta there....

:)

Kinda like this  :o

This is one of my favorite places....I don't know why actually. I like to sit and look out over the wash for Big Horns.

 :) Toolman,

That is a beautiful spot.  Not hard to figure why you like it there so much.

These mountains hold great views if people take the time to see them.  I'm not sure why more folks aren't out exploring.

Thanks for sharing the photo.

as we'er showing Grand Canyon photos here's one of the "other" Grand Canyon ( Waimia) on Kauai island. i shot this to try to show the grandure of this canyon. notice the relative size of the tour helicopter upper right center.  i don't get too close to the edge as i have "height-a-phobia". i couldn't do what tooman is doing in his picture.

I think I've taken that ride right by the falls.   Is it along the Napali Coast?      Beautiful!!!   Thank you for sharing mensajanitor.

same waterfall, different view. the only differance between this canyon and grand canyon is the geographical location, they'er both a spectacular sight to see. i resisted seeing both, but mrs. janitor iinsisted and after all, "a happy wife is a happy life".

That looks like where Jurrasic Park was filmed.  Especially the scene where they land the helecopter by a waterfall.  I know they filmed it most of it in hawaii and specificly the Kuaui island.

Where exactly is that?

Computerman, you need to insert a url for us to see the pics...  Upload your pics to either www.photobucket.com or www.phototrail.com.  You should see a url or a img link under the pics, insert one of those and wew will be able to see them....

Here are some of my favorites from our Colorado Trip.

Rocky Mountain Goat at the top of Mt. Evans

Rocky Mountain Elk

Me at Canyonlands NP. This is a wonderful area adjacent to Arches.

Clark's Nutcracker

Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. Another spectacular NP.

This was taken on the road from Prescott going to Jerome.  This is a panorama of 5 shots stitched together to get the whole plant.  Not sure of the name but the lil yellow flowers were so pretty.  It was about 3-4 ft high.
