I think it's been going on 3-4 hours now...and it is looking worse. It is 2 miles from any homes (last reported). They are calling for more bulldozers...
The photos were taken from Baldy Mesa/Phelan Rd area.

Last report on commercial radio that I heard was 200+ acres, still no structures threatened.  Lots of scanner activity over this incident.

They are evacuating homes by Hesperia Lakes...here are some photos taken from the area of Baldy Mesa and Mesquite Rd.(where Baldy Mesa ends into a dirt road). It was quite windy out there too...

A family friend is in that area and she's packing up.  There have been mandatory evacuations a few streets from her, so she'd be in the next block of houses to be evacuated.

4-1-2007 7:45 am - All evacuation orders have been lifted, residents may return to their homes. The fire remains at 2,000 acres burned with 50% containment at this time. Over 150 firefighters with bulldozers and helicopters will continue to fight the blaze with full containment expected by 6 pm this evening. There is no threats to structures and damage was limited to one outbuilding and a roof. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross shelter at Sultana High School has been closed. Highway 138 remains closed through the fire area.
