What's up with the Search & Rescue set up south of Desert Front?

I just saw that, it looks like they had someone on a gurney.

If they were dressed in orange shirts with climbers helmets, they were probably San Bernardino County Sheriff's Search and rescue.  It could also have been a training exercise since it was a Saturday.

It appeared they had the road blocked and there were cars waiting to get in.  Also the time of night made it appear as an event not practice.  I could be wrong.

I didn't look to the time of the original post.  You are correct....although they do have night drills also.  Seemed funny that they would require Search and Rescue response in a area accessible by road.  I'm sure the real reason will surface shortly.

One of the San Bernardino Sheriff search and rescue teams was training there.  The area off Hwy 2 was a staging area for their vehicles.
