My family and I were caught in it...it was a looong wait too. HOWEVER, I would rather wait in a traffic mess than have a fire get out of control. Great job AGAIN, Firefighters!!!

I was in the area just after it started. I stopped at Glen Helen and watched for a while. The firefighters did a magnificent job of structure protection as a couple of the homes were at risk almost immediately. Great job guys!!!!!

Yeah, I was right there travelling home and in the mist of the the fire/traffic as well...any one know how it started?

We just came up through Devore from Riverside, and there were a large amount of firefighters on the hills closest to the freeway, and it looked as if they were still fighting active fire, not just mopping up.  Any official status this morning?
