Clarks Nutcracker

We finally figured out which bird is making that moaning, groaning, cawwing sound.  It is the Clark's Nutcracker which has been hanging out atop in my neighbors pine tree for the last couple of weeks.  I have not seen them around our home for years and was quite happy to see them return.  Has anyone else noticed them this year?  They are a pretty good sized bird which is gray black and white.  They sit on the top of the trees eating pine nuts and such.  Can't tell if maybe the babies make that strange sound, as there have been a flock of about 6 of them in the tree.
