You already know my answer Robert. ROOF MOUNT! Seriously, don't use high power on 440 with a gain antenna mounted on the back deck or trunk. I actually have a slide about this very thing in the new show.
5 watts is okay.
The problem is my Corolla has a Sunroof that slides to the back of the car, leaving very little room for anything to be drilled through the roof (That is the reason the Corollas have the radio antenna positioned where they do at the very back edge of the roof).
Any other ideas besides my trusty Mag Mount I use on the Blazer?
Back on topic...I wasn't able to take Clint's class and had to do it on my own.
After reading through the books, I marked the questions that I missed or felt I had trouble with. I'd go over and over those questions on my lunch hour until I got them all right.
I then would take ALL 12 tests online and did so until I could go all the way through ALL 12 tests without missing any questions. Result? 100% on my exam.
Clint will not only teach you the things you NEED to know to pass the test, but will give you practical use instruction that the books don't give you. It's that practical use information that I missed out on by not taking Clint's class.
I have taken other classes taught by Clint and will say he has a gift for taking complicated subjects and making them simple and easy to understand. Clint missed his calling. He should have been a teacher.
