The final section of State Route 2 (Angeles Crest Highway) in Angeles National Forest previously closed for Bobcat Fire repairs is now OPEN: from Cedar Springs (Post Mile: 61.48) to SR-39/Islip Saddle (Post Mile: 64.1). SR-2 remains closed from SR-39 to Vincent Gulch Rd.

Looking forward to the other segment being open.  Hard for PCT hikers to get past the closure.

If FB is is to be believed, a rock slide.  Closed for an undetermined amount of time....to address the hillside I believe.

Angeles National Forest: State Route 2 is closed in both directions between Islip Saddle/State Route 39 & Vincent Gulch Rd. due to an emergency rock scaling operation. Unknown duration. #SR2 http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov

State Route 2 (Angeles Crest Highway) is open again Friday 5/21 through Sunday 5/23. Monday 5/24 through Thursday 5/27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. SR-2 will close from from Islip Saddle/SR-39 to Vincent Gulch Rd. to continue removing loose rock. Details below.
