Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market

Part of the new development on Main St. and Topaz in Hesperia is a new experiment from British grocers Tesco...
http://freshandeasy.com/

I pass by there twice a week on my way to/from Tae Kwon Do class.
Their prices are reasonable, and it's all self-checkout.
They discount items heavily when they're close to the "sell by" date, which means you can get GREAT deals! :)

Hmmmm, I just tried responding to this but...where'd it go?

I like Fresh n Easy especially the 'heat and eat' pre-cooked meals.  The self checkout is easy enough for even me to handle.

We had lunch at the new 'buffet' next door and really enjoyed that too.  Reminded me of a mini Vegas buffet experience.

I was not all that impressed with Fresh and Easy but had been waiting patiently and eagerly for it's Opening.  :o
My very 1st visit was on the 3rd day they were open. The store was dirty and I couldn't find anyone to help me find something. Also, their produce was so overpriced, not to mention poor quality.
I was VERY surprised at this and did not want to judge too hastily. So, the 2nd time I went there I tried to be a bit more open, and unfortunately, it was the same scenario.

However, if you prefer your foods without the use of preservatives, their 'private label' products are priced well. I do have 3 favorites so far: The Raisin Bran....never had so many raisins... :2thumbsup: , Honey Glazed Whole Wheat Pretzel Twists and their Peanut Butter. Mmmmmmm.....cannot go wrong with private label products.

I will continue to buy those items as they are priced right and offer the alternative to preservative-filled foods.  All and all...not that bad...but I had expected better. They haven't lost me yet as a customer.  ;D

I heard that the "heat and eat" was very good.  They had a good selection and really prepared well.
