Board approves Prop 90 property tax breaks

The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Prop 90/Prop 110 property tax relief ordinance that is expected to make San Bernardino County more attractive for homebuyers.

The ordinance allows homeowners 55 and older in other counties to transfer the base-year value of their existing home to a newly purchased or constructed home in San Bernardino County. This allows the homeowner to retain a lower tax basis and pay lower property taxes if they move into San Bernardino County.

With all genetic testing, use caution and read the fine print. If you learn of a specific gene that causes a disease, that can be considered a pre-existing condition. That could keep you from getting life insurance, health insurance and even long term care insurance.

Good advice!  If you noticed I had a similar "caveat" in my post.

We do not know who or what businesses or organizations will have access to our medical records in the future.

Today, insurance cos give lower rates if you allow them to monitor your driving habits!  Even our GPS systems have a red indicator when you are exceeding the speed limit--on any road, street or hwy.  We have no idea of the future use of that information either!

That's why I don't have a phone which has an "app" ability--provides TMI.
